Holy Conversations

Churches whose pastors have participated in Clergy Development Groups are invited to form a covenant community consisting of churches sharing a commonality in ministry setting, size, and “passion” for becoming more missionally-focused, disciple-making communities of faith. The purpose is to create and provide a unique community, which is led through a prayerful, Spirit-directed, community-building process of visioning and strategic planning; and developing and implementing a strategic plan of action to implement that plan.

Each church in the community is represented by its senior pastor and 4-6 laity. The community members enter into a written covenant committing to participate in the community process over a 2-year period. During the 2-year period, the entire community attends four community retreats led by the facilitator and community presenter/resource person. The purpose is for each Congregation to come up with a “next step action plan.”
