Institute Peer Groups
Clergy Development Groups
Clergy Development Groups form the center of this ministry. Each facilitated peer group consists of eight to ten pastors who meet periodically for two years. We actively recruit participants, drawn from clergy with clearly demonstrated initiative and motivation to learn. A facilitator assigned to each clergy development group plays a key role in their success by helping participants assess their needs, identify goals, and set norms for the group’s work.
Clergy Development Groups determine their own process and programs, select speakers, set their agendas and plan their curriculum, with the facilitators and our TMF Institute staff working together to identify appropriate models of learning and spiritual formation and resources to support that development.
